Fashion and Dance Show

Posted August 7, 2013 • Share: Last night, after a busy day of packing, General Rec activities and Sing practice the entire camp gathered in the PAC for our annual Fashion Show and Dance Show. It was a fun night with campers of all ages showing off their accomplishments in the Sewing and Dance departments. The Fashion show was first, and over 30 participants modeled camper-made clothing. They walked across stage doing their best model poses. Clothes included pajama shorts, dresses, tops and even accessories! Camera flashes were everywhere and music played, much like you’d see in NYC during Fashion Week. Everyone had a great time! Next up was the Dance show! There were 24 separate routines performed by our campers. It covered all different dance styles, including hip-hop, tap, ballet, lyrical and jazz. Our juniors did a fun jazz number to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and “Welcome to the Jungle” that had everyone smiling. The seniors had a great routine to “Radioactive”. The highlight for most were two routines in particular. One was a combination routine with both juniors and seniors to the song “Shake it Out” and our senior class performed a reprise of their competition-winning routine to “Turn To Stone” that stunned us all with their high-flying lift at the climax of the number.
A huge congratulation goes out to all involved in this special night! Your hard work really paid off!
