The Fourth of July carnival at Matoaka was a HUGE success! For the first time in years the weather was absolutely perfect! Each bunk set up a carnival game on their porch or front lawn, for campers to play. There was face painting, nail painting, ring toss, jump rope contests, and candy count guessing games!

Near the flagpole we had a series of inflatable games including a jousting match, a bungee run, and a bouncy house. It was hilarious to watch campers and staff bouncing around and battling each other. There were even opportunities to sink the male staff in a dunk tank, and to toss pies at them!

And a carnival just isn’t a carnival without some fun food! We had popcorn, pretzels, fried dough, snow cones, and cotton candy! And of course the Matoaka campers couldn’t resist the chance to dress up and show their spirit! Every camper was decked out in their best red, white, and blue patriotic attire! Uncle Sam would be proud!
