Yesterday was another adventure-filled field trip off-camp to the Aquaboggan Water Park. We had a fun-filled day soaking up the sun, slip-sliding and smiling down the waterslides, splashing in the wave pool, enjoying ice cream cones, and playing mini-golf. It was a fantastic day, the weather was perfect, and everyone had a great time!
By far, the most popular attraction was a slide called the “Stealth 5”, but our campers nicknamed it the “taco” due to it’s resemblance to a taco shell! Girls would slide on a tube, down a near-vertical ramp, and up the other side, much like a skateboarding half-pipe. They’d go back and forth until settling in the bottom, and splashing out into a pool.
We returned home to have a great dinner of grilled chicken, and had an evening General Rec period. The campers had boundless energy and enthusiasm and took full advantage of this opportunity. Girls were playing tennis, water-skiing, fishing, and so much more!
Every Matoaka day is filled with adventure, whether on-camp or off!
